As every year in Autumn, we celebrate a traditional festival around Catalonia. It is “La castanyada”, the Chestnut Festival, and we do celebrate it on the 1st November Eve. People gather to eat edible chestnuts and to have a nice time together.
At school, every year we do celebrate it. Last Friday, pupils and teachers of Dr Ferrer school gathered in the new gym. Two teachers dressed up as an Autumn characters invited all pupils to do the opening of the gym. Later on, everybody could eat delicious roasted chestnuts and drink grape’s juice.
